DAY 01: TAMATAVE – PANGALANES LAKE
08h30 We will leave the travel agency Chrismiatours Madagascar to reach the boarding dock. On board a local metal canoe, we will cross the artificial part of the Pangalanes canal. The name of “Panganales” comes from the Malagasy term, Ampangalana which means “the place where goods are taken in or boarded”. Settle in comfortably, immerse yourself in the enchanting world of the canal des pangalanes, and let yourself be enchanted by this verdant and exotic universe. We will take the pirogue to Ambodisaina, a small village decorated with legends, to discover the colonial remains: old Creole house and ruins of Ivondro, former station of the railway line Tamatave East Coast or TCE, Once intended for the transport of goods to the old port that had been established in the village.It also houses sacred trees. Giant Banians with miraculous powers, make a wish! We will go to the meeting of this intangible cultural heritage, unique and fascinating in its kind. Arrival at the lake, installation of the camp.

DAY 02: LAKE PANGALANES – TAMATAVE
Continental breakfast by the lake. Nature lovers, here there is absolutely nothing, get out of your comfort zone and adapt to a completely different way of life. The holidays are even more beautiful on the water.We will leave this authentic and relaxing place, we take the traditional local pirogue to Ambatovy. Here, time seems to have stopped, the water is witness of a beautiful story. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said: “Water is not necessary for life, it is life”. The Pangalanes Canal illustrates this truth brilliantly. Sailing on its calm waters, aboard a traditional canoe, is to reconnect with the simplicity and beauty of the present moment.
